The inflorescence of compound umbel is shown in the picture here. Besides looking like many lovely umbrellas, another significant criterium of an inflorescence to be regarded as an counpound umbel is that all the branches and the little flowers must radiate from the same points respectively. Flowers with these appearances could possibly be the deadliest plant in North America called hemlock, so if we see them in the wild, never should we be tempted to touch them! But my question here is: is the parsley shown here able to produce carrots?
