Description

Alstroemeria sp., originated from south america, are usually cultivated for its oranmental uses such as in flower bouquets.

They are zygomorphic flowers, exhibiting bilateral symmetry.
Its inflorescence may be umbel-like, but it is probably a cyme.
They have a compound pistil, 6 stamens, 6 Tepals.
The inferior ovary contains 3 locules, with axile placentation.
