This is Morchella (Morel). As mentioned by WaiTing, the fungi reproduce both sexually and asexually. They appeared in two different forms, which are anamorph (asexual form) and teleomorph (sexual form). In their teleomorph form, large and edible fruiting body called ascocarp is produced. Although it is a famous and expensive edible fungi, some people may develop gastrointestinal sickness when morels are consumed with alcoholic beverages because morels contain small amount of hydrazine toxins.
Despite the addition of alcoholic beverages, it is also dangerous to consume them without checking their identity as there are false morels which look like the real ones. Some are even toxic. For example, Gyromitra, which has a brain-like appearance in the cap rather than a honeycomb-like cap in real morels, and Verpa, which is attached to the stem only at the apex rather than being attached to the stem at or near the base of the cap.
