Description

This plant has a very distinct appearance just like a bottle brush. Its flowering time is around September to October. It is popular in Australia and people widely plant them for its bright red flower. From the picture, you can see the stamens are basally fused together.

The Inflorescences is spike. Although the flower is described as red, the red color actually comes from the stamen and pistils. The petals are the less obvious part, which is in yellow color.
