Description

The species Chrysanthemum frutescens belongs to Asteraceae (菊科). 

It has both peripheral lingulate florets which is white in color and middle tubular florets which is yellow in colors. This kind of design both serve the function of attracting pollinators and saving energy, as there are less energy investment for making individual tubular florets.

In tubular florets, the middle pistil is surrounded by the fused anthers (syngenesious), but the filaments are not fused. Then the whole structure is surrounded by the tubular corolla.
