Hibiscus rosa-sinensis belongs to the family Malvaceae. Its leaves show alternate pattern. The flower shows actinomorphic symmetry with 5 petals, 5 sepals and epicalyx at the bottom. Though the number of stamens is numerous - their filaments are fused together (connation) but their anthers remains separated (monadelphous). Fun fact: Buds and flowers of Hibiscus species are edible and have much vitamin C. They could consumed as tea, jellies, etc. (with taste like lemon) Reference: https://laidbackgardener.blog/2018/12/20/double-wrap-holiday-plants/
Thanks for your input. Nice photos and informative description. Well-done!
It's a bit difficult to observe the arrangement of alternative leaves from top view. A side view is preferred.
