Description

Bauhinia × blakeana belongs to the Caesalpiniaceae family. It is a native species and the city flower of Hong Kong. Each flower is made up of 5 purplish red petals, with darker stripes on the top petal. The inflorescence are raceme and panicle. The leaves are suborbicular or broadly cordate, and they are arranged in alternate.
