Spathodea campanulata Beauv. belongs to the family Bignoniaceae and is native to tropical dry forests of Africa. Its flowering period is from January to May and its fruiting period is from March to November. Its flowers are easy to be seen as they are located above the foliage, facing upwards, two-inch long and with bright orange or yellow colour.
