Description

Callistemon viminalis is an evergreen plant in the family Myrtaceae. It is a small tree with 2-5 m in height, with longitudinally-cracked bark. 

The leaves of C. viminalis are with numerous glandular dots (hardly to be shown in the above picture) and intramarginal veins. They are alternately arranged.

The flowers of the plant are in a spike arrangement with actinomorphic symmetry. They are with 5 yellow sepals surrounding the floral tube and 5 greenish petals. Numerous stamens are fused at filament position (not shown in the above picture). Hypanthium is present and the ovary is at a semi-inferior position.

Fruits are in capsule form.
