<Scroll Down for More Information> Hippeastrum vittatum is a type of hermaphrodite and zygomorphic flower with six tepals arranged in two layers, 3 tepals each. It belongs to the Family of Amaryllidaceae. Unlike most of the other types of flower that have their pistil surrounded by stamens, the single pistil and six stamens of Hippeastrum vittatum were arranged in bundle with upward orientation as shown in the photo.
