Description

Trachymene coerulea is an fast growing flower. It is commonly known as blue lace flower. It belongs to Araliaceae family and it came from Australia. They are annual or biennial plant.

From the photo, we can see that the stem of this plants have epidermal outgrowth, which are trichomes.

Trachymene coerulea has umbel inflorescence, which means that the flowers are attached to a common point. In the above photo, I labelled the pedicel and peduncle respectively.

After dissecting the plant, we can see that Trachymene coerulea has 5 stamens and 5 petals.
