Description

(Left) This is a flower of Canna indica (美人蕉).  It has 3 sepals, 3 fused petals, 5 petaloid stamens and one of the stamens only consists of 1 anther.
(Right) This is a cross-section of ovary of Canna indica (美人蕉). Canna indica has an inferior ovary. The ovary has 3 locules and there are 3 carpels. It shows an axile placentation.
