Nice pictures! Yet Taxodium distichum is a gymnosperm, not a flowering plant. What you have seen are the male cones. According to flora of hong kong, "Pollen cones borne in terminal, crowded, short, dense racemes or panicles 5–12 cm, shortly
pedunculate, ovoid.".
