Description
Column is commonly found in Orchidaceae flowers, it is formed from the fusion of androecium and gynoecium. Pollens also formed a special structure on the column called pollinia(pollen bag). The whole pollen bag instead of individual pollen is carried away when a pollinator visits the flower of Orchidaceae.
