Silique is a dry, dehiscent fruit which bears seeds inside. It can be found in the members of the Brassicaceae. Overall Structure: - Two fused carpels - A septum bearing seeds in between the valves - 2 lines of dehiscence Parietal Placentation: - False septum - Ovules attached to the peripheral wall of the ovary Seed arrangements: - Alternating seed attachment - Seeds attached to the stalks called funiculi
