Description

The live sample is a basidiocarp, fruiting body, of gill fungus in Phylum Basidiomycota. There is a stipe to support the pileus with gill structure inside. It also shows the pseudoangiocarpic development which partial veil can be found to protect the developing hymenia on gills. When the hymenia are mature, the partial veil breaks open to form marginal veil on pileus and annulus on stipe.
