Description

This photo shows the sporophyte of hornwort. Sporophyte of hornwort is a long, upright capsule with foot embedded on the gametophyte. The major difference between hornwort sporophyte and liverwort and moss sporophyte is that there is no seta in hornwort sporophyte while the other two do.
