Description
Ligule is a thin outgrowth at the junction of leaf and leafstalk of many grasses like Poaceae(禾本科) and sometimes usually poorly developed in Cyperaceae(莎草科). It is part of the leaf that is found at the junction of the blade and sheath of the leaf. Ligule is often with the two auricles, which just as the picture shown.
