Description
This picture shows a laticiferous plant Euphorbia pulcherrima. When cut across the vein of leaf, white sap of latex is observed. Noted that the sap is irritating to skin and stomach and may cause diarrhea and vomiting if ingested. Laticifer is a common features among Euphorbiaceae, Apocynaceae and some members in Compositae.
