Description

Suspensor and Gametangia of Rhizopus under microscope, high power magnification (x400).

Rhizopus is kind of Zygomycota (true fungi).

When there is adverse condition, Rhizopus undergoes sexual reproduction. Gametangia (n) are formed and the gametes are formed here. The structures next to the gametangia are suspersors (n) which support the gametangia.
