Description

This a microscopic photo of asexual stage of Rhizopus sp., viewed under 100x magnification. From the photo, sporangium, columella, sporangiophore, rhizoid, stolon and spores can be clearly seen.
Asexual stage occurs in zygomycete under stable environment.
Under dry environment or shortage of food, sexual stage occurs.
