Photo is clear but it is better to get a field with less number of conidia.

The stalk is called conidiophore. It is the specialized hyphae that produce haploid spores, conidia at the tip. In this case, the conidiophore is slender and long which is beneficial to conidia dispersal. But in some parasitic ascomycota, the stalks are relatively shorter so as to produce masses of spores under the epidermis of the host, increasing the internal pressure and leading to the split of the epidermis. Conidia are then released through the gap.
