Description
Carica papaya is a large herbaceous perennial. Fruit of Carica papaya are oval shape berries, turn from green to red-organs or yellow when they are ripe. The fruits are usually presented singly or sometimes in small cluster. The edible parts includes mesocarp and endocarps.

It seems to me the labelling of "placenta" is not accurate.
