Description
This is an unopened dehiscent capsule, the fruit of Tabebuia chrysantha. It is a pod-like brown young capsule with seeds inside, which will split into 2 slits, explode and release seeds when mature. Capsule is a dry fruit that contains three or more locules, which will split open to release seeds. Reference: Souza, Luiz Antonio de, Iwazaki, Maisa C., & Moscheta, Ismar S.. (2005).
