Description

It is a member of Asteraceae which is native of tropical America and introduced into Hong Kong. Its inflorescence is head (or called capitulum). It consists of both tubular florets, which aggregate at the middle part, and ligulate/ray florets, which locate at the edge. Each single floret contains its own ovary, stamen and style. It has a nearly year round flowering period.
