Description

Mucuna birdwoodiana belongs to fabaceae. 
[1] It has zygomorphic symmetry, the broad petal(top) is the banner, the two petals(middle) are wings and the two fused petals(bottom) are keels.
[2] The leaves are odd pinnate meaning it has odd number of leaflets. 
[3] The fruit are loment as there are constrictions around each seeds.

Good observation and clear description! Unfortunately, the features cannot be shown clearly through the photos.

In flora, the fruit is described as "Legume linear but markedly constricted between seeds". (http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=200012234)
