Description
This photo shows the structures formed during sexual reproduction of Rhizopus sp., a true fungi of the phylum Zygomycota. The gametangia of opposite mating types develop, and then undergo plasmogamy to form zygosporangium. After karyogamy, a resistant zygospore will be formed.
