Description

Porella sp. are liverworts. They reproduce by transferring sperm to egg through raindrops. The sperms in the raindrops land on the archegoniophore and swim through the neck canal to fertilise the eggs, which eventually develop into a sporophyte dependent on the female gametophyte.
