Photos shown here is Spirogyra in haploid stage which is a filamentous green algae. It consists chlorophyll and that's why it appears in green color. It can be found in small stagnant water bodies, rivers and streams. It can be easily recognized by the spirally coiled chloroplasts. During sexual reproduction, two filaments will undergo zygotic meiosis and sexual reproduction occur by conjugation between two haploid cells to form a zygote.
