Description

Common name: Chinese/China rose
Family: Rosaceae
Function: Ornamental, traditional medicine: 治月經不調、跌打損傷
Commonly found in flower shops marked as rose.
P.S. This species shown in photo is possibly a cultivar of the species Rosa chinensis.

Leaf: pinnate compound leaf with 3-5 leaflets.
Leaf arrangement: some showed opposite/decussate, mainly showed spiral/helical (variation of alternate)
Stem: thorny stem.
Presence of axillary buds.
Stipules mostly adnate to petioles with apex free.
It has numerous stamens and pistils hide inside the petals,petaloid stamens and fertile stamen with petaloid sterile stamen (anther consisting petaloid stamen).
