Description

The photos above are showing some structures from Pentas lanceolata. It is under the family of Rubiaceae and the subclass of Asteridae. The photo on top is showing the two stigmatic lobes of the pistil, which can provide us some information in its number of carpels. The photo on the lower right shows the two locules in the ovary. These two evidences show that the number of ovary is two. The photo on the lower right is showing the position of nectary glands on the flower, which are locating between the sepals.
