Description
The photos above are showing the placentation of Gladiolus gandavensis, which is under the family Iridaceae and is a monocot. From the photo on the left, it clearly shows that there are three locules. It means there are three ovaries fused in the carpel. From the photo on the right, it shows that the ovules are attaching to the middle axis, therefore it has axile placentation.
