Description
Also known as "fishtail palms" due to the shape of their evergreen leaves, they are a palm tree species that flowers with spathe-like bracts, 2 lateral, larger male flowers and 1 frontal, smaller female flower. It is an unusual case where male flowers are larger than female flowers.
