Description

From the left ,the picture show a Roystonea regia under family Palmae (Arecaceae). The leave is compound and pinnately divided , feathery. It refers to the arrangement of feather-like features arising from both sides of a common axis.  

From the the fallen leave on the right ,we can observe the leaflets is linear , with pointed apex and attached by the base. One feature of this species is the four-ranked leaflets so the leaf give a tousled look.

Just one point: I'm not sure it really shows four-ranked leaflets...and reference to support such description?
