Description

Pineapple is a multiple fruit which consists of the gynoecia of more than one flower. Several flowers are clustered on one stem and all fruitlets combine into a single large fruit. The central axis inside combine the floral parts from several separate flowers. Many flower bracts can be observed on the surface of the pineapple.
