Description
Lichen is symbiosis form of algae and fungi. Algae provide food source to fungi while the fungi provide shelter and retain water for algae. Therefore lichens are resistant to drought. Lichens can act as indicator for air pollution. The lichens in the photo is Crustose because they are flattened and they adhere firmly on the tree.
