Description

From the side view, it can been seen that the two outermost whorls of this flower are very similar,which suggests this flower has two whorl of tepals. From the top view, it can been seen that Freesia refrecta has no special insect guide and it is actinomorphic. After removing the tepals, it can be seen that there are two stamen and one pistil, and they are not adnated. From the L.S. of the ovary, it shows that this flowers has a superior ovary. From the c.s. of the ovary, it shows that the ovary has 3 locules and the ovules are attached at to centre, which suggests axile placentation.

But usually there should be three stamens. Have you checked with other flowers of Freesia?
